1907 Toothpick Holder from Tebala Shrine Temple

Pictured above is a small silver plated Shriner toothpick holder or shot glass from 1907. 1 ½”tall, 1 ¼”across top rim. And 1 3/8” across base. Etched into front is “Compliments Tebala Temple, Rockford, Ill, 1907.” Great shape with no damage.

The Tebala Shrine organization in Rockford, IL is affiliated with the Shriners of North America, an international fraternity of approximately half a million members which is best known for supporting the Shriners Hospitals for Children, a network of 22 hospitals that provide the highest quality care and services regardless of the patients’ or their families’ ability to pay.

The organization is committed to providing quality programs and services for its members, their families and friends in a spirit of fun, fellowship and social camaraderie.

In addition to member programs, the Tebala Shrine in Rockford organizes a number of community activities each year. These include the Shrine Circus in early summer, the Blackhawk Farms Vintage Classic in June, Jimmy Buffet Party, and the Karnival of Karnage haunted house in October.

As part of its mission, the Tebala Shrine in Rockford also provides financial underwriting and other support to children from the community who qualify for treatment at Shriners Hospitals. A screening clinic will be held at the Tebala Temple building on September 29th for children (young people who have not yet attained the age of 18) seeking to qualify for treatment at Shriners Hospitals for Children. There is no charge for the clinic.

A special "Thank You" to Brother Fred Lowstetter for sharing the pictures of this cute little toothpick holder with our museum!
