Early
DeMoulin Bros. Exploding Spanking Paddle
This
old novelty prank or frat paddle is about 75 years old. It measures 21 inches
by 4 inches and has its original brass tag that reads, “Manufactured by
DeMoulin Bros. & Co. Greenville, Ill.”. It takes “Black powder center fire
cartridges” (primers?) that go off with a big BANG! when someone is swatted.
These were used in side degrees conferred by Lodges
in the early 20th century.
