Masonic Ribbon Commemorating the 100th Anniversary

 of the Death of Brother George Washington (1799 - 1899)

This celluloid pin back ribbon is made of silk with a full metal backing, and golden tassel cords.  This pictures the original "Tension Envelope" Pat. Mar. 13 1883 with tie string and wrap washer from:  "The Whitehead & Hoag Co." Advertising Badges, Flags, Buttons, Advertising Novelties. The Celluloid Medallion Patent date is:  Nov.7th, 1897.  The Ribbon is imprinted with gold: "U.S.A. DEC.14 1799 - 1899 CENTENNIAL OF THE DEATH OF WORSHIPFUL GEORGE WASHINGTON GRAND OFFICER" with of course the Masonic Square and Compasses.  It measures 1 3/4 inches across and is 11 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide.
