Glazed Tile by Wheeling
Here is a beautiful four color Masonic
tile with a cobalt blue background, orange Square & Compasses and ivory
color Letter "G" in the center. The raised relief portions of the
embossed detail are bare earthenware surrounded by black. The glaze is evenly
crazed and assume intentional by the manufacturer. Marked on the back in
raised letters "WHEELING XMX, FU, 24……." . This is a very rare
tile in good condition! It measures 6 inches square and is circa
1910-1920.
