1914 Masonic Presentation Vesta Case

Here is an early Masonic matchsafe or vesta case as the English call them.  It depicts the Square and Compass on one side, inlaid with blue enamel into the metal. The other side has the name of the Lodge, Lord Kitchener of Khartum, Lodge number 2767, and it was presented by Worshipful Brother C.H. Hosgood, who was Worshipful Master in 1914.  As this was not a presentation piece "to the Master"... it was probably one of several pieces the Master had made for him to present to his Officer line or when receiving special guests.
