Early Shrine of North America Scimitar

Made by The Pettibone Bros. Co.

This Shrine of North America Scimitar is a wonderful find!  It was worn by Shrine Temple Guards to keep off cowans and easedroppers during their ceremonials!  This scimitar still has its sheath and measures 31 inches overall.  The blade measures 25 inches.  It has an Arabic theme with a heavy brass eagle head handle and the Shrine emblem located at the hilt.  At the base of the highly polished blade is the makers name... "The Pettibone Brothers".  It dates to the early 1900's.
