These
early Sunderland Lustre Mugs are English made and fired in the traditional
pink and gold fish eye colors. One pictures a hand-painted triangle with
"Wisdom, Strength and Beauty" and a Blazing Sun in the
center. The other depicts a man in the moon with seven stars and
an acacia border! There most striking feature is the unbroken dragon handles,
a typical Chinese feature borrowed and put to use by English potters.
They
stand 5 inches tall and measure 5 inches in diameter.
