This is a beautiful piece of Maddock's & Son's which could be used either as biscuit jar or tobacco jar (depending on who the real head of the household was).  This piece is dated by the Presentation from 1910 which can be seen under the lid. The bottom of the jar is marked (in green) as New Jersey China Pottery Co. and also has the stamp Tho's Maddock's Son's Co., Trenton, N.J.   The lid when turned upside down has the Presentation information ... "62nd Annual Banquet, Chester Lodge No. 236, F&AM , Thursday Evening December 1, 1910."  The exterior of the piece is done in a delicate floral design. The lid has been damaged and was repaired.  This is still a beautiful display piece of  Maddock's Masonic ceramics.
