Black Order Jewels

Through the Nineteenth and most of the Twentieth Century, blacks were systematically excluded from fraternal orders. In response, they formed their own, often based on white fraternities but sometimes original. Shown here are Daughters of Isis, Prince Hall Masonry, Order (Daughters) of Calanthe and Elks.
