The Sons of England Benevolent
Society was founded in Toronto in 1874 by George Clatworthy. It was
formed to assist needy protestants of English extraction and to promote
loyalty to the monarchy. Their jewelry is often distinguished by the
inclusion of English coinage including a gold Sovereign in the President's
jewel. Needless to say, complete President's jewels--including the
Sovereign--are hard to come by.
