Knight Templar
1904 29th Triennial Portrait Plate
"Early Gibson Girl" No. 6

This is an elegant porcelain portrait plate of a
Victorian lady with voluptuous breasts and a flower in her hair. This
plate was considered risqué in its day. The edge of this lovely plate is very
difficult to capture with a photo. It is a deep purple iridescent color with a
gold gilt design around the outside rim. No crazing, chips, cracks, or
repairs. The back is marked 1904 Pittsburgh Commandery No. 1 29th KT Triennial
San Francisco, Ca. with the Knowles Taylor Knowles manufacturers mark and
Semi-Vitreous Porcelain, East Liverpool Ohio USA.
A special "Thank
you" to Brother Charles Alcaraz for sharing his pictures of this beautiful plate
in his private Masonic collection with our museum.
