This Swedish made firing glass or cannon bears the familiar symbolism of Blue Lodge Masonry.  The Seal of Solomon or Star of David is present on the front as well as the cable-tow folded in a figure eight pattern.   It stands 9 inches tall on a heavy cut-glass base.  Firing glasses, or cannons as they are sometimes called, come from the French, in their Table Lodges, called the drinking of a toast, fue, or fire.  The word is also applied to the action immediately following the drinking of a toast in British Lodges when a quaint little ceremonial is observed by all the Brethren.
