Masonic Temple Steps Fob
This is believed to be a one-of-a-kind custom made Masonic fob dated to
1921-1922. It was made by a Birmingham jewellers company called "Vaughton's &
Son's". They are a company still in business today... Vaughton's are a well
established English Masonic jewellery company and have been in existence from
1819. The weight of this fob is 8.3 grams. If you look closely the hand
engraved symbols inside are some of the collar jewels of the various offices
within the lodge. These were all most-likely stations in the Lodge that this
wearer had served. Starting at the bottom and working upwards the symbols
being Steward, Inner guard, Organist, Almoner, Deacon, ADC, Secretary,
Treasurer, Junior & Senior Warden, Finally Worshipful Master, and Past
Master. This brother served in almost every position in his Lodge which is
quite an accomplishment. This piece might also have been a gift to this
Brother for a lifetime of service to his Lodge and Royal Arch Chapter.
