Masonic Trench Art Vase with

Eagle and Square and Compasses

This is a well crafted World War II brass 105 artillery shell casing that has been hammered and molded into an elaborately designed vase that measures 15" tall x 5 1/2 " diameter base.  The shell casing weights 7 pounds.  It is marked on the bottom "MAM 3751 18M."  The engraving design is intricate, well done and features on one side an American Eagle and the words "E Pluribus Unum" on the banner in the eagles beak.  On the other side is the Masonic Square and Compasses with the Letter "G" executed with great care and wonderful detail. The background on the shell has a punch design. This is a very well made piece of " trench art."
